~Piano Keys~
Raindrops sprinkled her tiger-striped, black and white pelt as she lingered in the entrance of Rumenikstar's den, yellow eyes dark with worry. She shifted from paw to paw uneasily and shook herself dry again, only to find that the light shower had returned to soak her once more. A quiet and nervous curse was bitten back as she glanced once behind her; were the dogs still chasing her? She hoped she'd led them away, away from ShadowClan camp and to somewhere else. She hoped she'd led them back to their twolegs, what with their leashes and large, screaming voices. That'd shut them stupid mutts right up.
But something still bothered her. Why had they even crossed into ShadowClan territory? Were there more of them? Despite being a good, strong, swift fighter, the prospect of going up against vicious canines really, really scared her. And who did she go to when she was scared? It was obvious by now, and since she had been to the leader when nervous many times before, it was obvious that she had no problems telling Rumenikstar her worries, concerns and fears.
Terror haunted her every waking moment, and nightmares plagued her sleep. It was like the spirits were trying to get her, trying to kill her, and so it was no surprise she woke in a cold sweat, screaming, in the middle of the night. It had gotten so bad she didn't sleep in camp any more, and she slept behind some shrubs a few minutes' walk away from where everyone else was. No-one seemed to mind, though, and her disappearances at night were now greeted by sleepy murmurs of thanks to StarClan and approval.
And every time something bad happened to her, she told Rumenikstar. And now she was back at the entrance of his den, waiting for him to tell her she could enter or at least speak, waiting for him to let her tell him about the dogs.
"Rumenikstar?" Piano Keys called uncertainly, ears flickering back and forth, "Are you there?"
