As you all might've noticed, our activity is dropping, and no new members have been joining. If you advertise this site, ANYWHERE (as long as it's allowed), post the link here and you'll be HEAVILY REWARDED. I don't care where you post it, so long as the site allows advertising, and together we can hopefully get more members. Also, to those that are inactive, we need site-wide plots. Any ideas? Post them here. :]

Wait, so you would like it to be a future HP?

I'm a bit confused, but from what it sounds like that's okay. :]

Yeah, that's fine :) I like making advanced bios anyway ~ they aren't just for HP characters.

~Piano Keys~

"I was angry. I'm always stronger when I'm angry." Piano Keys stared up at him when he asked her to get up, and felt like moaning again. Couldn't she have one minute's rest, seriously? Nonetheless, she tucked her legs underneath her and pushed to try and stand. Eventually she was able to keep herself up, and glanced sideways at Rumenikstar. "Is this ok? I'll be able to get to camp, I reckon, if I try..." She trailed off.

Her whole body ached, but at least the moss had stopped the bleeding. She kept very, very still, so as not to make the makeshift bandages fall to the floor, scenting the air for the dogs. "Thanks for getting rid of them all back there; I was exhausted after only a few blows." Piano Keys managed a weak smile, which was reassuring. And then, as if reading his thoughts, she mewed, "If the dogs follow us back to camp, they'll be wanting the blood. I'll have to get up and run again, but don't worry. I'll lead them away eventually."

Piano Keys' smile grew wider then. "I'll be ready for them. I'm always ready."

"Excuse me? Piano, you did great. I wouldn't have ever been able to fight off that many dogs on my own. Now come on, I need to find Northernlights. Those cuts look bad. Can you stand up?" Rumenikstar asked, his face looking downcast at Piano Keys.

He clawed at some moss hanging from a tree, and dampened it with the morning dew. "I dun noo wha Nothenlides useth but the mosth will thtop bleeding." He meowed, struggling to speak with the moss in his jaws. Setting it down, he wrapped it around her cuts and gashes, and to his surprise, it actually stayed. With a triumphant smile, he waved his tail, motioning for Piano Keys to try to get up. She looked pretty bad, and Rumenikstar almost wanted to just leave her there and find Northernlights, but he knew that it would be better to have her walk in pain, then rest in comfort and face the possibility of some dogs returning and finding her all alone.

Oh no. What if the dogs did come back, and follow the scent of blood to camp? That could cause some real problems, and it worried Rumenikstar. Of course, he was more worried about Piano Keys at the moment, so he looked back at her.

~Piano Keys~

Get up? Climb a tree? No, that didn't appeal to her at all, so she remained where she was. The barking rang in her ears some more, as well as yowling, before it all faded away again and there was silence. Silence. She'd never liked the quiet before, but now, it was so sweet she didn't want it to end at all. Which was a shame, because it wasn't long before Rumenikstar was back again, trying to calm her down even though she didn't want to calm down. She was sick of calming down, because she never really 'calmed down' at all. She just hid her anger behind that stupid, quiet mask and screamed inside instead of outside. And it did nothing at all.

Then Rumenikstar was trying to move her. He'd already gotten rid of the blood staining her pelt, and now he was dragging her along the floor back to camp. At that point she let out a grunt of protest, wanting to stay where she was and do nothing, as she had planned, but she couldn't really argue and went limp until he dropped her and lay beside her, wanting to know if she was awake. Well of course she was awake; she'd only just stopped crying.

"I'm awake." Piano Keys mumbled quietly, just loud enough for him to hear. "Thanks for saving me from the dogs. I thought they'd all gone ~ guess I was wrong again." The black and white she-cat opened both yellow eyes to look at her leader. Great StarClan, she probably looked awful, what with her matted fur, dull eyes, ribs showing through her skin and just general weariness. She didn't look like an average cat, that was for sure; recently, Piano had been neglecting herself in every way ~ sleep, eating, interacting with others... After she'd offered to help guard the camp from dogs, she'd done nothing all day, and hadn't even moved to get something to eat. Only once had she left her post to go hunting, and that was when she'd met the dogs, fought them, and now she was lying there doing nothing.

"Sorry for not finishing them off."
Wow. Nothing was done good enough when she did it, it seemed.

Hunting got his mind off of everything that stressed him, so Rumenikstar was out on his walk. The presence on the forest seemed a bit... Off, though, and his suspicions were confirmed when he heard barking. Dogs barking. And the smell of blood mingled with Piano Keys was what really made the leader freak, and he ran toward the scent.

There she was! The black-and-white Piano Keys. Dogs were all around her, though most looked like they had given up completely. That reassured Rumenikstar a bit, but only for those hopes to be smashed when he saw one charging right for Piano. With a yowl of something between fury, worry, and strength, the ShadowClan leader ran straight at Piano Keys, knocking her aside. "Get up! Climb that tree if you can, just... Stay away from the dogs." He ordered, lunging at one of them.

It ran away, but gave Rumenikstar time to notice Piano Keys was injured horribly and crying. "Piano... Come here, I..." He snarled at the final dog coming near them, and it led the pack away. "I'll bring you to camp. Don't worry, you'll be fine." He purred quietly, wanting to soothe Piano Keys, and licked gently at her cuts. They looked bad, but he wouldn't tell her that.

After most of the blood was washed away, Rumenikstar picked Piano Keys up, carefully walking back to camp. At one point she began to get heavy, and needing rest, Rummy laid her down. "Piano? You awake?" He meowed, laying beside her in a fit of worry.

~Piano Keys~

Ok now she was seriously starting to get tired.

Her paws thudded against the ground as she raced through the territory, breathless, panting, exhausted. She couldn't keep going much longer; it hurt to run, it hurt to breath, it even now hurt to think. And still she kept moving, moving, moving, wishing for a miracle, praying to StarClan. But they hadn't answered, oh no. They never answered Piano Keys. No-one answered Piano Keys.

The dogs were gaining on her now; she had to fight. Spinning, determined now to beat the canines wanting to tear her apart, she unsheathed her claws and glared at the dogs with yellow eyes filled with hated and anguish She fuelled her blow with her anger at being ignored and swung towards the largest dog ~ a massive Rottweiler, though she didn't know ~ and aimed for its head with her claws unsheathed.

They all hate me. They think I'm a nuisance.

Piano Keys felt her claws connect with flesh, a grim smile on her face as the dog's blood spattered her face.

I can't help my clan properly. I'm too tired to help. I can't sleep because of my stupid nightmares.

The striped, black and white she-cat dodged one attack from the largest dog, but another's jaws snapped around a paw. She shook it off and struck at them again.

I'm cursed. I'm not popular. I deserve to die.

Piano dodged another flailing attack and clawed at a smaller dog's chest, making it howl and run away,

And I don't know if I love someone, or if I just like them as a friend.

Her blows were slowing, now, as the dogs turned tail and fled. Piano Keys slumped to the floor, ignoring the blood staining her matted fur. Was it her's? Was it the dogs'? The injured she-cat didn't know. She didn't care. She didn't even mind. She just wanted to curl up and do nothing, because although her clan was happy, she wasn't. Because there was only one cat she was comfortable with talking to, and she didn't want to bug him any more. He was the leader for StarClan's sake ~ as much as she longed to go to him, shuffle back on aching paws to speak to him... No, she couldn't. She looked too... Too wild and ruffled and skinny and blood-covered. Yeah. That was it. Too... Ugly in general.

Piano Keys shook her head and began to cry.
