~Piano Keys~
Get up? Climb a tree? No, that didn't appeal to her at all, so she remained where she was. The barking rang in her ears some more, as well as yowling, before it all faded away again and there was silence. Silence. She'd never liked the quiet before, but now, it was so sweet she didn't want it to end at all. Which was a shame, because it wasn't long before Rumenikstar was back again, trying to calm her down even though she didn't want to calm down. She was sick of calming down, because she never really 'calmed down' at all. She just hid her anger behind that stupid, quiet mask and screamed inside instead of outside. And it did nothing at all.
Then Rumenikstar was trying to move her. He'd already gotten rid of the blood staining her pelt, and now he was dragging her along the floor back to camp. At that point she let out a grunt of protest, wanting to stay where she was and do nothing, as she had planned, but she couldn't really argue and went limp until he dropped her and lay beside her, wanting to know if she was awake. Well of course she was awake; she'd only just stopped crying.
"I'm awake." Piano Keys mumbled quietly, just loud enough for him to hear. "Thanks for saving me from the dogs. I thought they'd all gone ~ guess I was wrong again." The black and white she-cat opened both yellow eyes to look at her leader. Great StarClan, she probably looked awful, what with her matted fur, dull eyes, ribs showing through her skin and just general weariness. She didn't look like an average cat, that was for sure; recently, Piano had been neglecting herself in every way ~ sleep, eating, interacting with others... After she'd offered to help guard the camp from dogs, she'd done nothing all day, and hadn't even moved to get something to eat. Only once had she left her post to go hunting, and that was when she'd met the dogs, fought them, and now she was lying there doing nothing.
"Sorry for not finishing them off."
Wow. Nothing was done good enough when she did it, it seemed.
