SkyClan / Re: Growing Concerns [MANDATORY CLAN MEETING]

"YAY! I'll go right now!" Dreampaw rushed over and headed out of the camp.  She didn'd even know what way to go or how to get to the other clans.  She just never wanted to stop running.  She was so happy, and exited.  And she didn't realize where she was either, until she was out of breath.  She stood, panting, in the middle of a random forest. Then, the realization came to her-she was lost.  (Maybe she could find a salamander to eat.)

Lingeringeclipse watched sorrowfully as Taintedstar padded into her den.  His eyes flicked over to Victorychant, noticing her moving closer.  He coughed to break the silence."Oh...Hi." He said stupidly to Victorychant, who (to him) looked very proud and dignified, complete opposite of him. Oh boy...she looks mad.  Oops... He thought, thinking she was angry.

Wovenbasket nuzzled him back, smiling and nodding. "You tell me." She purred, twining her tail with Rowanstar's, her eyes glittering with a youthful twinkle.

Rowanstar couldn't stop the wide, toothy grin that spread across his face. Disbelief, warmth and love were mixed in his dark eyes, and he pressed his nose against Wovenbasket's. "Does that make us mates? Forever?"
46
Wovenbasket paused, unsure if all this was really just a dream. She felt dizzy, as if everything was spinning fast around her. The deputy of RiverClan shook her head, trying to push away the feeling of shock. Dreams had never been this... Real.
She hadn't said anything to Rowanstar, she noticed, and took a deep breath. She couldn't sound stupid in front of him, so she thought for a moment. "Rowanstar, I... I love you, too." She replied, her voice barely managing even a whisper.
Wovenbasket took another step nearer to him. "I love you." She repeated, her voice this time wouldn't even be audible if she wasn't so close to Rowanstar, and she suddenly felt a thousand times lighter, being able to finally confess, and know that the feelings were returned.

Rowanstar sighed, shuffling his paws. "Ever since we were apprentices... I felt sort of different when I was around you. My heart would always speed up, I would always be distracted, and you were always present in my dreams. I guess what I'm trying to say is... I've fallen in love with you, Wovenbasket."

It sounded serious. By the way he was stammering, and pausing... Rowanstar never had trouble talking to Wovenbasket, so just that was a sure sign. Then the fact he had gotten up so late just to tell her whatever it was he needed to say.

Looking back at Rowanstar, she nodded. She would tell him that she liked him... After he said whatever it was he was going to say. "I actually need to tell you something, too. But you go first." Wovenbasket meowed.

Rowanstar opened his mouth to speak, but immediately found himself tongue-tied. "Wovenbasket... I- you- we-," he stammered, flattening his ears. Finally, after a moment of silence, he found the right words. "Listen, Wovenbasket… I've got a confession to make. I had the hardest time trying to find the courage to tell you this."

~Piano Keys~

She had never had any problems with speaking to Rumenikstar, but her sudden awkwardness surprised her. It was as if she had to think about what she said, which had never being a problem, and... it wasn't right. "Oh please, you know I'll come to you if anything's wrong. I come to you every day about something ~ I won't be keeping secrets." Piano Keys smiled slightly and turned, watching the rain fall from the heavens. "Although... these dogs were big... and it looked as if they had been hunting, not just chasing prey blissfully like they normally do. They really looked as if they were searching for something... or someone."
