~Piano Keys~

She had never had any problems with speaking to Rumenikstar, but her sudden awkwardness surprised her. It was as if she had to think about what she said, which had never being a problem, and... it wasn't right. "Oh please, you know I'll come to you if anything's wrong. I come to you every day about something ~ I won't be keeping secrets." Piano Keys smiled slightly and turned, watching the rain fall from the heavens. "Although... these dogs were big... and it looked as if they had been hunting, not just chasing prey blissfully like they normally do. They really looked as if they were searching for something... or someone."

Rumenikstar hesitated, but nodded. "If you wish. Go ahead and tell Lylabreeze, too." He meowed, brisk yet gentle. Laying back down in his nest, he added, "Should anything bad happen, come right away to me." He said.

Piano Keys nodded slowly. "Let me guard the camp too. I don't like sleeping; I have nightmares every night without fail, and I don't sleep in camp because I disturb everyone with screaming. I might as well do something to help, to make up for all the warriors I've annoyed." The she-cat glanced at her paws.

Rumenikstar nodded. "We mustn't worry now. I'll call for my sister to guard camp during the night with someone, and if something happens, she'll call an alarm." He promised, then looked at Piano Keys. "I'll call a meeting first thing tomorrow about setting up extra patrols to keep an eye out."

She was unable to stop herself from smiling with relief at the now-familiar sound of the leader's voice, and she stepped out of the rain and into his den. Glancing around, Piano Keys twitched both ears and sighed softly, guessing that he would be a little annoyed at her coming to him so late. It was time for her to return to her nest outside camp and away from everyone, but she couldn't just yet. Not before she had spoken to Rumenikstar.
"Dogs..." The striped she-cat began, yellow eyes widening at the memory of the frightening beasts. "So many dogs... They chased me all the way out of our territory... I managed to lead them back to their twolegs... But I think there might be more." She shuddered at the memory and wrapped her tail around her paws, shutting her eyes as if that would block out everything.

Wasn't everyone supposed to be heading to sleep now? Rumenikstar made no move to stand up- He was lazy. "Pianokeys?" He guessed, almost laughing. She came to him frequently, and it was no doubt that it was her calling for him.

"Come on in." He sat up straighter in his nest, looking to the entrance of his den, just waiting for a scared looking Pianokeys to come padding in. She was sweet, that was true, but it was so late. He figured it better be important, something like dogs on the territory. If only he knew...

~Piano Keys~

Raindrops sprinkled her tiger-striped, black and white pelt as she lingered in the entrance of Rumenikstar's den, yellow eyes dark with worry. She shifted from paw to paw uneasily and shook herself dry again, only to find that the light shower had returned to soak her once more. A quiet and nervous curse was bitten back as she glanced once behind her; were the dogs still chasing her? She hoped she'd led them away, away from ShadowClan camp and to somewhere else. She hoped she'd led them back to their twolegs, what with their leashes and large, screaming voices. That'd shut them stupid mutts right up.

But something still bothered her. Why had they even crossed into ShadowClan territory? Were there more of them? Despite being a good, strong, swift fighter, the prospect of going up against vicious canines really, really scared her. And who did she go to when she was scared? It was obvious by now, and since she had been to the leader when nervous many times before, it was obvious that she had no problems telling Rumenikstar her worries, concerns and fears.
Terror haunted her every waking moment, and nightmares plagued her sleep. It was like the spirits were trying to get her, trying to kill her, and so it was no surprise she woke in a cold sweat, screaming, in the middle of the night. It had gotten so bad she didn't sleep in camp any more, and she slept behind some shrubs a few minutes' walk away from where everyone else was. No-one seemed to mind, though, and her disappearances at night were now greeted by sleepy murmurs of thanks to StarClan and approval.

And every time something bad happened to her, she told Rumenikstar. And now she was back at the entrance of his den, waiting for him to tell her she could enter or at least speak, waiting for him to let her tell him about the dogs.
"Rumenikstar?" Piano Keys called uncertainly, ears flickering back and forth, "Are you there?"
